The latest research from Sydney Units Cityscope shows that apartment sales in Sydney’s CBD have decreased both in number and total sales value in the last quarter. For the three months to January 2017, there were 113 sales at a total value of $128.8 million, compared to 180 sales at a total value of $213 million for the previous quarter. The yearly figures have increased in total sales value and number, with 794 sales at a total value of $1.04 billion for the twelve months to January 2017, compared to 768 sales at a total value of $897.9 million for the previous year.

Notable sales in the January 2017 update of Sydney Units Cityscope include:

  • Unit 2803, Highgate, 127-153 Kent Street, Sydney, a three bedroom penthouse with three balconies; 172 sqm on the twenty-eighth floor and 120 sqm on the twenty-ninth floor, which was sold for $6.25 million through Colliers International;
  • Unit 2506, Stamford on Kent, 187 Kent Street, Sydney, a 256-sqm three bedroom plus study unit, including balcony on level 25, plus a 30 sqm and an 18 sqm car space on the basement level, which sold for $4.725 million through Vanguarde Estate Agents;
  • Unit 114, Hyde Apartments, 157-167 Liverpool Street, Sydney, a 162 sqm residential unit with a balcony on level 28 plus two car spaces on basement level, which sold for $3.85 million through McGrath Estate Agents Eastern Suburbs and
  • Unit 1405, Observatory Tower, 168-170 Kent Street, Sydney, a 160 sqm three bedroom unit, including balcony, which sold for $3.2 million.
